Should government employees have to use the same helathcare system as the people?

Will they?

Yes, all government officials/employees should be subject to the same crap healthcare programs and regulations they plan on enforcing on us. But because government employees aren't subject to it, it's easy for them to push to nationalize healthcare. These people get a lifetime of the best healthcare packages around. I'd like to see Edward Kennedy be told he is old and has a terminal disease so it is not cost effective to provide treatment. Eddie, just go home and deal with your fate.

Which government employees did you have in mind when you wrote this? Rank and file civil servants, like postal workers, or members of Congress? Because I can pretty much guarantee you that everyday Joe Schmoes who just happen to work for the USPS or the border patrol or your local federal prison will be in the same boat, heading up You-Know-Which Creek with the rest of us, and Congressman or Senator Blowhard will be exempt from it, as they are from so much else that they inflict on the public.

Don't be silly. Government employees will simply vote for politicians that will allow them to keep their jobs and give them the best benefits. And since politicians don't have to live like regular people, neither will government employees.

i think elected officials should have to use the same system they expect everyone else to

In my opinion, They use the same health care system only theirs is subsidized by the federal government, so it costs less. If your talking about socialized medicine, I say no to that. Because that will be the ploy to lure Americans into Communism. Just like the Chinese did with their people. Socialized medicine was one of the deciding factors to make the Chinese people go communistic. Then after communism was safe and secure in office the government took away the free health care.

After that many of the Chinese people played the stock market trying to make a little money for their old age. Just like Bush wanted us to take our social security money and play the stocks markets and do away with government social security. There is nothing wrong with the social security system. What's wrong is the politicians keep stealing from it and abusing it, for example by aiding the illegal aliens. They allow illegal aliens to receive social security benefits for their qualifying Anchor Babies. Up until 2006 - 2007 the illegal alien elderly were allowed to receive monthly social security checks and Medicaid. Then Bush was pressured to change that and uphold the laws.

The politicians know they have to financially bankrupt Americans for things to change towards socialism. Strong thriving people don't need handouts. Take away those peoples jobs, livelihoods and homes with no ability to pay to get them back. Then those people are venerable and more willing to accept what's offered by the people in power. The politicians are thinking 30 years in advance. The only way they'll get their One World Economy/Government is to break the American people and dumb down the youth by allowing illegal drugs into the country and cutting off education funding. All the while using the taxpayers money to complete their plan. So, are we going to let this happen? NO.

For things to change we have to change. The American people need to vote out existing politicians and put in new ones and take control and tell them what we want, instead of always being the ones who are shafted by the greedy career criminal politicians. VOTE THE BUMS OUT!

With the exception of some minor issues of you revisionist history, and the fact that you believe that the masters are planning on creating a communist government I'm about half in agreement with you about the thirty year plan to break the back of the American middle class.

It is fairly obvious to me that the policies of nation are set up to bankrupt the American people to make them more pliable to changes in our system, so I agree with you on that issue.

And it is pretty obvious to me also that education has been dumbed down, ESPECIALLY in the area of humanities and social sciences which are the diciplines which give people that understanding of how society really works, which would to a great extent open our eyes to how they're being screwed, too.

But the outcome of what we see happening now doesn't lead us into communism since they have not outlawed capitalism for themselves, have they?

They just seem to be making us DEPENDENT on the goodwill of the government for us to survive their version of capitalism sinc ethey have systematically been removing gainful employment from this nation one goofy trade policy at a time.

Seems more like, if anything, we're headed to something more approaching INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE NEO-FEUDALISM, than international communism.

International Corporate NEO-FUEDALISM still allows the world's fabulously wealthy classes to comtinue being fabulously wealthy.

But it also creates an essantially two tier society where the peers of the realm (the corporate masters) lord over the peasants and in that society, the corporations are the arbitors of rights, rather than governments.

So if one bankrupts the governments AND the people, who has the power?

What do you think Wolfmoon?

Our views are not all that different except for what we CALL the outcome.

You call it communist, while I call it Corporate totalitarianism.

Nowe think about it...

Both systems are totalitarian,

Both systems create an elite class, but ONLY one allow the ruling class the right to be extreme wealthy.

And the corporate totalitarianism masquerading as capitalism absolve the corporations of any responsibiliuty for the wellbeing of the people.

If YOU were already fabulously wealthy, and if you had the ability to manipulate the system into something other than what we have now, which outcome would YOU be working for?

The end of all your wealth by nationalization, or the empowerment of your wealth without any national government to prevent you for doing whatever the hell you want with you wealth?

First things first...where did you read your Chinese history from? I would suggest actually reading about some Chinese history prior to spouting out ridiculous claims.

Second, I just want to make certain I clearly understand your point. The politicians are purposefully causing the economic strife in order to gain absolute power over the people and install a communist totalitarian world regime? Wow!? I suppose at least some of the press is in it too, becuase they're are not exposing the massive conspiracy. The media being owned by and large by transnational mega-corporations. These corporations are in league with a world-wide conspiracy of politicians to bring about a one-world communist totalitarian state in which we have to pay for our own health-care, and those very same transnational megacorporations would no longer be allowed to exist. My God!? No wonder I can't seem to get ahead.

Here's what I know...people work their asses off and yet are losing ground economically.

The working class lives in a world of captialism, and the master class doesn't seem to.

I'll leave it up to you to decide if that took a conspiracy, but I know one thing..

It is impossible for me to believe that anyone with a lick of sense really thought to deindustrializing the USA would make it a wealthier nation.

Let's ask RGS. Should government employees, including the military, including the retired military, have the same shitty health care as everyone else?

My health care system isn't shitty.

My health care system is non existent.

So far, that's working out for me.

The military does and SHOULD have a separate healthcare system...

Unless you think that security, readiness, and self-sufficiency is not a good thing for the military

I think they should have health care, and I think the retired military personnel should have as well. I also think we should all have it...the military healthcare system is one of those government programs that work and there is no reason to exclude the rest of America from it.

You communist, you.

Imagine thinking that the people who pay for Congress' solid gold health care system, or the military's gold-plated health care system, should also have health care, too.

There are PLENTY of reasons

1) The rest of America is not fucking employed by the military as soldiers...
2) More security in the military requires a separate system of care and emergency treatment
3) You are personally responsible for your own care. You want it, pay for it or agree to work a job that subsidizes it in your benefits... if not.. too bad, too sad
and the list goes on

You want it.. .fucking enlist

If all the working people who don't have health care enlisted we'd need a military of about 50,000,00o people.

Good plan, otherwise, though.

It is impossible for me to believe that anyone with a lick of sense really thought to deindustrializing the USA would make it a wealthier nation.

People are working more and making less. This is only partially related to deindustrialization. It is firmly routed in supply side economics. It is not "impossible" as you put it, to believe that the deindustrialization of the U.S. would lead to a more stable, wealthier nation. Many people saw on an international level, what you claim on the national level. They saw a world in which a small number of industrialized developed nations controlled almost all the wealth and all the power. The vast majority of the people lived in squallor with absolutely no hope of wealth and no access to power. These conditions cannot continue in perpetuity and would eventually lead to world instability. The notion is that the developed nations move away from manufacturing but maintain control over the wealth this manufacturing develops. They then use this wealth to develop technology and information systems that would be required in a "modern" world. These technology and information systems would then be used to produce medium and high paying technically skilled jobs. As we have seen this has met with rather a mixed bag of success and many of the developed nations are now fighting to maintain a large technology base with a small, but still vital industrial base. You can say that the move to a technology/information based economic model was flawed, unsuccesful or misguided. I think it is impossible to claim that it was a purposful attempt to derail the developed worlds economy.

I've no desire to take any benefits away from the military. You're reasons make no sense to me. All Americans by virtue of being Americans should have the same access to good health care. I looked around a bit and it seems military personnel get breaks on all kinds of insurance, life, health, car, homeowner...too funny. You know the REST of us pay for this, too, there's nothing in the constitution that elevates one group above the rest.

Self-sufficiency in the military thats a hot one...

The military in the age of privatization is about as self-sufficient as the octuplets mom.

So I guess in your world the level of healthcare you receive depends on what kind of job you can hold. If you're a janitor we'll treat you for mild diseases and accidents...want a triple bypass...get a better job. If you're a middle manager you can have a triple bypass but need a kidney transplant and tough shit. But if your a CEO, hey whatever you want sir, we're just here to serve you and the dollars you "make." Which system leads to slavery again...
