Democrats were on the way to a communist government. They have one now (Mandani) who looks to being elected as mayor of NY.

Not sure what 'direties communism' means.

The FDR administration. According to the book, In the Garden of the Beasts, by Eric Larson, FDR either didn't have a clue or he didn't care about Hitler's rise to power. Even when the U.S. ambassador to Germany related accounts of Nazi atrocities, all the FDR administration ever did was to pester the ambassador to try to get reparations that Germany owed after the WW1 surrender.

It ain't the same except for the mainstream media. The Brits were shocked after Pearl Harbor that the FDR administration had no national Intelligence network in place and the Japanese armada was able to cross a freaking ocean undetected.
The media supported FDR's negligence just like they supported democrats for a hundred years.
