As it stands, There is the first implication which simply is that salvation is God's work rather than man's. Further true Godly works are a response to a salvation already received rather than an means to salvation.

The second implication of course is that God cannot be directly amenable to human logic, which in turn implies that there must beanother seeminly logical possibility.
