I’m afraid trump played us all though.Trump always talks a big game.if he was really serious about draining the swamp,why did he not lift one finger to get rid of the cia,fbi and fed after all this time,why did he not demand a real investigation into the jfk assassination if he was for the people? That lie has gone on long enough. but most importantly,he could have used the insurrection act to get a fair trial and did not even though he had the military backing behind him.his most ardent supporters kept questioning the whole month of December why is he not using the insurrection act? He was just playing a part of a knight in shining armor and we really thought he was that knight but in the end,he showed his true colors and lied to us conceding.

No he did not have the military support of the top brass like Gen. Milley who he would have needed to declare martial law or enact the insurrection act, plus he did not have the needed congressional support.

Trump was in a very weak position...the only thing he could have done was to call for the people to march on Washington which he did...unfortunately not enough showed up to support him.

Anyhow...the whole insurrection thing was thoroughly discussed on this board and you should take a look at that....I do not like having to go back over ploughed ground.

Pence for the most part was loyal...however at the end he was not willing to fight like he should have....yes the elite establishment republicans were constantly stabbing Trump in the back.

I think Trump needs to establish a new party.....leave the establishment republicans to themselves....start a new party without the woid republican in it....carries too much baggage....the party of the rich etc.

I think a good name for the new party would be The Conservative Christian Party.
