the difficult German anthem

it was written in 1841 ,... nobody thought of Germany rule über alles .... only über the many small German länder.

where is Austria now?

Do you know Garibald? He was the first [known] duke of Bavaria - but he also had been the duke of the Alemans and duke of the Langobards. Austria was part of Bavaria. And every time you meet someone from this area you meet people from the same indigen culture, independent whether they speak German, French or Italian or another language. And if you would start to speak with the people of the USA then you could find out that the USA is in its positive substance somehow also only like a little AUStria .. ahm sorry: big USAtria. This wonderful A moves like a quantum-moon around us.

East Germany had a hymn of its own.

it translates as .....

.. Risen again from ruins

Soviet hymn from brutal 24/7 full time superiditios of the "Parteibonzenstaat DDR" (=party boss state GDR). Incidentally, the text is a typically bad text by a poet who writes without heart and soul. Empty phrases pressed into dead form.

At the resurrection, the world will come in the form of a hideous old woman, blue, with protruding fangs, and no one will see her without hating her. She will be presented to the creatures, who will then be asked: Do you know her? and they will say: God forbid that we should know such a one! Then they are told: This is the world of which you boasted so much and for whose sake you fought!

Sounds simple to me.

It is simple - and anyhting else than a good song - specially in this version. But good for marching.

But as well "Erika" and "The Westerwald song" - most famous marching songs which today are often associated with the evil Nazis - are indeed only songs about the beauty of the homeland and to go home.

Do you have any idea why you used now the Japanese emoji "funny"? ¿Absolutelly stupid US-American who has not any idea about nothing except the own wrong proudness? I heard in Texas died three people because of measels this year. ¿No real problem? If you think so!

Its also the "cool" emogie.

Smiling Face with Sunglasses Emoji Meaning

A yellow face with a broad, closed smile wearing black sunglasses, as if a pair of classic Wayfarers. Often used to convey the slang sense of cool. May also express a confident, carefree attitude or that something is excellent.

The lyrics to the song are fun, and great for drinking.
On the heath, there blooms a little flower fine (xxx)
and it's called (xxx) Erika. (xxx)
Eagerly a hundred thousand little bees (xxx)
swarm around (xxx) Erika. (xxx)
For her heart is full of sweetness, (xxx)
a tender scent escapes her blossom-gown. (xxx)
On the heath, there blooms a little flower (xxx)
and it's called (xxx) Erika. (xxx)

Back at home, there lives a little maiden
and she's called Erika.
That girl is my faithful little darling
and my joy, Erika.
When the heather blooms in a reddish purple,
I sing her this song in greeting.
On the heath, there blooms a little flower
and she's called Erika.

In my room, there also blooms a little flower
and she's called Erika.
Already In the grey of dawn, as it does at dusk,
It looks at me, Erika.
And then it's to me as if it's saying aloud:
"Are you thinking of your little bride?"
Back at home, a maiden weeps for you
and she's called Erika.

Yes. Its an opinion board.

Your opinion. The last time Zebra asked about the German anthem I informed him very comprehensively.and I said to him I will not do so again a second time. Now he comes with the same absurd bullshit again. The man acts as if everyone else is stupid. The former Soviet-GDR had been a brutal oppressive state totally under Russian control. When today US-Americans and Russians together support Nazis in Germany then this is a problem for Germany which has absolutelly nothing to do with the anthem of the federal republic of Germany.

And this is by the way the anthem which is the third best in the world which I know after the German and the Bavarian anthems:

Erika is both a flower and a song
a famous marching song
