The Cosmological Arguments for God's Existence

Not only were you not "spot on"
Well, then you can stop your embarrassing masturbation session right there and name one thing, besides your magical sky daddy, that had no cause.

ONE.

Go on, get all the tantrums out of your system, if it helps. But this requirement will still be waiting for you.

Aww look, testosterone!

You're the one talking about how you're going to spit in the face God, big pants. LOL! I say again, you'll be quaking and wailing like a little girl sitting in a puddle of soiled panties.
By the way, dipshit, your magical threats hold no weight here. You sound like some crazy **** on the corner with a sandwich board and a bullhorn.
I never thought of this sub-forum through those glasses.

These are the guys with the cardboard sign that says god saves, and stuff.

I dont see anything wrong with that...because if I felt like it, Id hit the streets with some anti-Christian slogans and not so much feel like a kook, more-so like a freedom fighter.

What's happening to poor buttercup here is that he has painted hinself into a corner. Keep in mind, there is only one prime directive: the truth of the.magical horseshit must be maintained at all costs.

He doubled down on his error, and so now has to maintain an unteneable position. But, he cant admit that something may exist (besides the magical sky daddy) thatvhad no cause, because his entire house of cards would come tumbling down.

So, instead, what he will do is talk about me. Or leave. Poor guy.

You guys should eat a snickers or something.

Bob Ross is a cool cat.

I watch his painting programs to fall asleep sometimes. Once in a blue-moon, he says something like "god made trees."

And I dont give any singular *****, whatsoever.

Thats because Bob Ross is not a scumkunt.

Back to your regular programming...

I never made a claim, one way or the other, on how many things were "uncaused." I merely stated that God is uncaused.

So you can stop beating that strawman to death, and while you're at it, stop projecting. Thanks. :)

But they are closer to one of the westboro pukes that holds a sign saying, "god hates you and will punish you".

Shameless lie. You said "everything which began to exist". And you believe there is nothing that did not begin to exist, other thn the magical sky daddy.

Therefore, you bekieve there is nothing that did not have a cause, besides the magical sky daddy.

Man, it is hard to have a discussion with someone so willing and ready to be a dishonest little weasel.

Hey, I'm not the one who misquoted the argument, that would be you. :dunno:

You're projecting again.

Is it my turn yet?

Atheism is an argument against others having beliefs. It is a dead end. It doesn’t have a positive program. It is a negation. Throughout history human beings were able to derive happiness by finding meaning in life. This is especially true for those who suffered. William Joyce, said, "When all is said and done, we are in the end absolutely dependent on the universe; and into sacrifices and surrenders of some sort, deliberately looked at and accepted, we are drawn and pressed as into our only permanent positions of repose. Now in those states of mind which fall short of religion, the surrender is submitted to as an imposition of necessity, and the sacrifice is undergone at the very best without complaint. In the religious life, on the contrary, surrender and sacrifice are positively espoused: even unnecessary givings-up are added in order that the happiness may increase. Religion thus makes easy and felicitous what in any case is necessary; and if it be the only agency that can accomplish this result, its vital importance as a human faculty stands vindicated beyond dispute. It becomes an essential organ of our life, performing a function which no other portion of our nature can so successfully fulfill."

Happiness consists of seeing one’s life in its entirety as meaningful and worthwhile. Atheism has no such foundation. They are so miserable that they can't stand it when others are happy. Thus proving the old adage that misery loves company.

I dont think ding is vengeful like that...i think he is insecure, and a dipshit. His posts are to sooth his soul, and why not I guess. Fuzzy little fella will ramble all night long with no responses...saying some dumbass Aunt B slogans that everybody knew 73 years ago in Mayberry

Nobody does that

Oops, another shameless lie. I even made it clear i was not quoting the argument, but presenting its equivalent, when You wield it. In fact, I posted this directly to you.

Ding has directly threatened me with eternal suffering. He's a delusional jackass in this respect, just like all the rest. Its literally the entire basis of the entire dog and pony show: they want to live forever. Period. The rest is just window dressing to paper over what is at the heart of this sickness.

Stop lying. I have no idea what your fate is anymore than I know mine.

"A Marxist must be a materialist, i. e., an enemy of religion, but a dialectical materialist, i. e., one who treats the struggle against religion not in an abstract way, not on the basis of remote, purely theoretical, never varying preaching, but in a concrete way, on the basis of the class struggle which is going on in practice and is educating the masses more and better than anything else could." Vladimir Lenin

"if we identify god with the laws of nature..i..dont see why we need another term for the laws of nature." alexander vilenkin

:laughing0301:
Because God is the prescriber of the laws of nature. God is no more the laws of nature as a painter is his painting.

Ah, yes, Vilenkin's notion, like Carroll's, amounts to a mathematical construct entailing the law of physics "suspended in nothing" ontologically prior to the existence of the cosmos. G.T. is too stupid to recognize what they're actually describing, and Vilenkin and Carroll are too mired in materialism to put a rational name on what they're describing. Information implies mind.

I think its the conspiracy theory phenomena for most of these guys, like I described before.

An evolutionary fear of the unknown, coupled with the social desire to be "in the know," drives the dissonance necessary to create the arguments backwards, starting with the conclusion and building assertive premises that always (necessarily) fall shy of validity.

Sam Harris vs. William Lane Craig is a good one to watch to begin to understand the underlying issues at play, here...Craig gets refuted and ACCEPTS refutations at certain points in his debates... and then uses the points that he agreed were debunked...in later debates.

As points.

Same way these cucks are going to cherry-pick physicists as authorities and then later call them short-sighted when they find they dont support their same conclusions...

the conclusions they based on the work of these same physicists. Imagine that!!

This is the marking of a charlatan, and do we know why? Why, because it works, and it self-serves toward notoriety and wealth. And how does it work? It works with the dissonance that evolution has given some of us...like I described above. Fear of the unknown, desire to feel like we know.

"But I am not anymore. In my interactions with religious and nonreligious people alike, I now draw a sharp line, based not on what exactly they believe but on their level of dogmatism. I consider dogmatism a far greater threat than religion per se. I am particularly curious why anyone would drop religion while retaining the blinkers sometimes associated with it. Why are the “neo-atheists” of today so obsessed with God’s nonexistence that they go on media rampages, wear T-shirts proclaiming their absence of belief, or call for a militant atheism? What does atheism have to offer that’s worth fighting for?

As one philosopher put it, being a militant atheist is like “sleeping furiously.”...

...atheists’ zeal keeps surprising me. Why “sleep furiously” unless there are inner demons to be kept at bay? In the same way that firefighters are sometimes stealth arsonists and homophobes closet homosexuals, do some atheists secretly long for the certitude of religion?..."

Has militant atheism become a religion?
