A Crazy World
Progressives and Conservatives are in full agreement -- Capitalism is bad and Capitalism has failed. Everything that is evil is attributed to- and associated with Capitalism; income inequality, monopolies, multinationals, billionaires and criticisms of free trade. No one is out there to defend Capitalism and it is fair to say it is one of the main boogeymen i political discourse.

Of course all of these voices ignore the fact that we are currently not living under Capitalism, but under a mixed economy and that the issues that are attributed to Capitalism actually is to be blamed on what is suggested as the solution, namely government. Of course, most of these criticisms of Capitalism are either just emotional drivel or sheer ignorance and economic illiteracy.

The freer the market the freer the people and the freer the people the freer the market. Everybody knows this and the proof for it is everywhere we turn our heads. Yet, the anti-market resentment in both camps of political discourse is maybe even stronger now than ever before. This is very surprising and also rather worrying.

It is getting really tiredsome and no one with a brain is buying it anymore - Basta!

Why do you think so many people fear Capitalism?
Why isn't the, so called, Right-Wing doing more to speak up for Capitalism?
What needs to be done to change this?

These things you speak of are promoted and demanded by those who pretend to support capitalism. I'm not arguing overall with your point other than to point out that the vast majority of capitalists really aren't and you are pretty alone in the woods preaching your point.

Yes, I know I am one of few voices in modern political debate preaching Capitalism and that is something I also point out in my OP and something I ask other posters to elaborate on in the questions I present above; Why is no one defending Capitalism anymore?

The so called "Capitalists" of today are cronies who hate free markets and love getting in bed with government in exchange for privileges and legislations that hamper the market.

Absolutely and the reason is because there is no such thing for instant riches in capitalism like we see for the few in our system today.

Many of the "capitalists" would have to get a job and actually work as opposed to live off the socialist actions of the government.

I vocally and by my vote support people who will help the poor but I would trade that for a purely capitalist system.

Unfortunately many Americans still believe we live in a capitalist nation, somehow refusing to believe what their eyes are telling them. They desperately want to believe what they were told in grade school. That it’s a fair playing field and all can get rich with hard work. They truly believe they can be like Bezos.

These people buy into the propaganda from the establishment and prevent real change from occurring.

Open and vocal Socialists like AOC and Bernie are appluaded and get their butts licked by Democrats. Donald Trump ran his entire campaign on slandering free trade and advocating "Economic Nationalism" (i.e. protectionism/merchantilism) and on FOX, Tucker Carlson (Cucker Karlmarxon) is constantly crying about Jeff Bezos and about "disappearing American jobs". In fact, Carlson even had a segment where he said he is on board with Democratic Socialism (that is the "Right" for you, lmao).

I see no one in the mainstream who defends free market principles and anytime anyone does it, they are shut down with strawmen about "sweatshops", "monopolies", "damage to environment", "evil CEO:s" and "outsourcing".

Capitalism really is the true boogeyman of contemporary politics since it is the enemy of both sides.

The two criminal political parties don’t believe in capitalism. Their actions for many years prove this statement correct. Both parties are corporatist parties. Yet another example of how they are very much alike.

No potus was more a corporatist than O. He did all he could to protect the rich and big corporations, while doing little for the rest of us. Then he did all he could to prevent Bernie from winning the nomination, so that the party would nominate another corporatist. Can you find a bigger corporatist than Joe and Hillary?

Very well said. The rhetorics and actions of politicians rarely align, but on the issue of Capitalism the, so called, "Right" are not even pretending to like Capitalism. It is very disturbing and proves there is no political party out there that supports liberty and freedom.

All politicians are disgusting and should find real jobs.
