The world, including our former friends and allies, doesn't trust Trump. Now the world knows his word only lasts a few minutes at best. He has pissed away all credibility. Why does he have to do this? Why can't he just act like a normal, responsible, credible adult, let alone the President of the United States?

That's false. What Trump said was "The footage was authentic, but it did not show Trump specifically naming Iran. He actually said, "I will tell you, you're not going to have a war with me and you're not going to have a third world war with me...
