I am not a good person to ask, as I barely can identify NBA stars of today, but has anyone reading this ever heard of this woman before? Do you have a strong impression of her impact on the WNBA?

In the annals of women's sports, is she on the same level as, say, Chrissy Evert? Nancy Lopez? Serena? Mary Lou Retton? Carolyn Dorrin-Ballard (bowling)?

I think that she showed an embarrassing level of envy at the instant fame of that Caitlin Clark, but that's just my view from 10,000 feet.

Is she a big deal?

The WNBA is just now starting to get a larger fan base.

A few years ago my daughter is going to Glenville State University. She is in the pep band that plays at the basketball games. The wife and I start going. I kinda dismissed the women's game until we started going. They were led by a young coach that went to a local high school from us.

Kim Stephens has the team playing a game that few others are playing. Full court press for nearly the entire game. She had the girls in incredible shape.

They win a national championship in Division II in 2022. My daughter really isn't into sports but she got to go to the final 4. She notes it was one of the highlights of her college experience.

The coach moves up to Marshall University and in her first year she takes Marshall to their most wins in any year. Then came Tennessee calling. She's having a very good year for a first year at that level. We still follow her.

I imagine at some point she will be at the WNBA level.

Good luck to her. Talent is also merit, and it appears they merit the big leagues.

Why Babe Ruth? Wouldn’t the Jordon of the WNBA make more sense?

Also the WNBA is terrible.

You and 4 cult members from this USMB would get destroyed by Taurasi and any other 4 random WNBA players.

It would be fun to watch you waddle around in your denim shorts and wife beater T.

I never heard of her.

Hell, I hardly watch the NBA. But like Michael Che suggested on SNL Weekend Update, nobody watches the WNBA.

Cool story. An above average men’s HS team would run them off the court though. The WNBA is just objectively bad basketball.
