Only paid professional activists and those paid to organize by their employers have time to protest. Most protests we see are not naturally occurring events, but highly orchestrated, well-funded actions designed to push a political agenda for powerful special interest groups.

One example is a young woman named Maile Hampton, who in the span of only ten days, led protests against UC Davis Chancellor Katehi, then two days later appeared in Mexico protesting labor conditions for Mexican farmworkers, and a week later was seen on the steps of the State Capitol with the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment, protesting in favor of a $15 minimum wage. Hampton, who goes by the name KwameKahlo on Twitter, and is a self-described “Marxist Leninist” is either a trust fund baby, a highly committed cause omnivore, or a pro who is paid by the protest. (Hampton has recently limited access to her Twitter page)

Not surprising- since this is posted on Canada Free Press- a notoriously unfree Right Wing Nut Job blog.

Oh and the author- the ever so respected Katy Grimes is an investigative journalist, Senior Correspondent with the Flash Report, and Senior Media Fellow with Energy and Environmental Institute. A longtime political analyst,

She is so diligent- that she couldn't even spend 5 minutes on Google to find out that "Maile Hampton" is a college student. Perhaps she is a 'trust fund baby(and perhaps Katy Grimes is too)- but a college student who found time to attend '3 protests in 10 days'- 2 within 50 miles of where she goes to college. Yeah- how could any college student do that......

Now- lets look at her claims- Ms. Grimes is not very exact, but again Google is our friend:
Friday March 18- Protest against UC Davis Chancellor Katehi- can't find a record of Ms. Maile being there that day
Sunday- March 20 - In Mexico protesting labor conditions for Mexican farmworkers- actually at the U.S. side of the border at Tijuana(Ms. Grimes is casual with facts)
Sunday- March 27
2 days later steps of State Capital protesting in favor of $15.00 minimum wage- no record of Ms. Maile being there that day.
