We only had 3 channels then, so it was pretty limited. You could walk down the street and hear Amos n Andy, gunsmoke, Life of Riley and dragnet, and not miss an episode. The comedy was pretty good then and it was always resolved in 30 minutes or less. Here Andy goes to get appraised of an inferiority complex. When the Kingfish asks him how'd it go, Andy says good Kingfish, it turned out I is really inferior after all.

Loved that show. shame the black contingent got it shut down.

(they felt it showed black in a bad way)

prelude to the buddy-buddy shows like the Honeymooners, the Flintstones, I'm Dickens, he's Fenster numerous others.

I doubt this show would air today.
It absolutely could not, for better or for worse. It would never see the light of day. Frankly, I'm a little surprised YouTube hasn't banished it to the hinterlands of Political Correctness forever.
