I saw this movie at its original release, but my wife and I decided to watch it again.

I did not remember this movie being as uproarious as it is! Literally a laugh a minute.

Only Steve Carell could have pulled this off and made his character plausible as a 40 year-old virgin. He is the master of the deer in the headlights look.

I'm not even sure there was a script. I get the feeling most of this movie is improv. There are some very talented actors who just give that vibe. I think the actors were told the general direction they should go and they took off. I bet there were a million takes of each scene as they riffed off one another.

Most people who have seen this movie remember the hair wax scene above all others. This was definitely improv and the ripping off the hair was real. I've seen an interview with Steve Carell about it.

The little Asian lady is definitely not acting as Carell screams at her. She is beyond cute with her reactions.

Seth Rogan, who I can take or leave, is brilliant.

Jane Lynch plays her usual part as a cougar to the hilt.

There is a cameo by Kevin Hart which is priceless.

And if you pay attention in the eBay store scene, Jonah Hill makes what I think may be his film debut. He went on to star in the smash hit Superbad two years later.

There is also a woman who plays Paul Rudd's girlfriend who went on to a role in The Office with Carrell.

The two Pakistani guys are hilarious.

Elizabeth Banks is an over-the-top smoking hot babe. Oh. My. God.

Don't miss this. I think it was a $3.79 rental on Amazon.

Worth it!

I neglected to mention Stormy Daniels and her naked bosom appear for about 2 minutes in this movie. About one year before she spanked a certain avid golfer on the bottom with a copy of Forbes magazine.

Of course, I had no idea who she was the first time I saw the movie.

But last night, my wife and I were, "What? Is that...? Holy shit!"

I remember it being pretty funny, and highlights why The Office failed after he left the show. He was the show, everyone else was there to provide fodder for him to react to.
Pure comedies that are actually really good are rare, and this is one of them.
