Isn't it strange how the USA and Canada have so many similarities – but we seldom hear about them? Here's a story that should ring a bell to our workforce here.

Some Canadian employers are willing to incur the added costs of hiring temporary foreign workers because they believe they have a better work ethic than Canadian workers, says the president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

"I can tell you, anecdotally, IÂ’ve had many many emails from small business owners whoÂ’ve said that their temporary foreign workers are among the most productive employees, that are doing really high quality work, that have terrific customer service skills and, more than anything, are reliable," Dan Kelly said in a phone interview with CBC News.
