Riner's death wasn't a politcal assassination by an unknown person with an opposing viewpoint like Kirk.

But in the end, he was just another Hollywood actor. Another person who makes a living pretending to be someone else, one who had a fucked up life, a fucked up family, and an ending right out of the pages of the Hollywood scandal magazines.

It's a shame politics were brought into his death. This shouldn't happen no matter who the person happens to be. Rob was a decent actor and a wonderful director. He directed Stand By Me and Misery, two of the best adaptations of Stephen King's work in my opinion. He also directed the hilarious This Is Spinal Tap. R.I.P. Mr. Reiner.
