And compare it with the general election. I realize that Trump still won the election in a landslide but why would states that are clearly more Republican (even though they're classified as blue states) be voting for Harris over Trump and how did Trump supposedly lose those states?

Intellectually lazy. Land doesnt vote. The house is only changing by 1 or 2 out of 435 and it is a tiny majority by the Pubs. My guess is pub control wont make it through midterms with such a small majority.

The map of the 2024 Election was taken hours after....it was on Fox News.

So, what does that mean exactly?

How is it lazy? The fact of the matter is that left-wing states are red as tomatoes. I understand the fact that big cities decide the election outcomes, but that still doesn't explain why these two maps are so different.

The top map is congressional districts. Blue States have red districts, and red States have blue districts.

The top map shows the house elections, the bottom one shows the Presidential election.

I reread your post, I thought you were stating about the map of the 2024 Election. My bad...

I'm confused lol

I meant why are they so different in color? Why would they be interested in Republicans taking the house but not the white house?

There's actually a small handful of totally blue House states. That actually surprises me.

I don't understand your question. Who is "they"?

Referring to the OP. The top map is the map that will determine control of the House of Representatives, that's all. Most States have multiple Congressional districts, so there is some red and some blue in each State. Urban districts tend to be blue, rural ones tend red.

The bottom map is just the States, the Presidential election is "winner take all" so the States are either all red or all blue in that map.

Cant you read? Land doesnt vote. No one lives where the areas are red.

The voters.

I still don't think that you understand my question. 😕

Well if nobody lives there then why is it red?
