Chadd Ritenbaugh, a 55-year-old man from Doylestown Township, Pennsylvania, has been charged with vandalizing a Tesla SUV parked outside a Planet Fitness gym, allegedly scratching a swastika symbol onto the vehicle. The incident, which took place earlier this week, led to an investigation that ultimately identified the suspect.



The alleged vandalism occurred Monday morning when the owner of a Tesla noticed fresh scratch marks on the vehicle upon returning home from her workout. She reviewed footage from her car’s camera system, which showed a man parking his Lexus next to the Tesla before ducking behind it and apparently scratching the vehicle.

The footage led investigators to the Planet Fitness gym, where Ritenbaugh was seen entering and wearing the same outfit.
