Birdia Keglar and Adlena Hamlett, long a target of the white racist establishment in rural Mississippi, were killed near Sidon, Mississippi on January 11, 1966. That much is w/o dispute or question. Beyond that and 40 years later, even with the election of our nation's first African-American Attorney General, the U.S. DOJ remains largely disinterested in investigating the deaths of our young nation's civil rights heroes. Susan Klopfer wants to know why.
