The Supreme Court said Thursday that the Trump administration must "facilitate" the release of a man the government admitted it wrongly deported to El Salvador, sending the case back to the judge who ordered his return for further clarification of her order and leaving the ultimate fate of the case unclear.

After the Trump administration admitted that it had wrongly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, a federal judge in Maryland had ordered the government to "facilitate and effectuate" his return by 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 7.

A federal appellate panel declined the administration's request to halt the judge's order, but Chief Justice John Roberts temporarily granted the request on the afternoon of that midnight deadline, pending further word from him or the full high court.

Seems to me he can still be deported but not to El Salvador......Time to country shop.

El Salvador told him to fuck off.

He has thumbed his nose at the USSC, just like the Authoritarian that he is.

Wave buh-bye to your MS-13 buddy, shitheads. He's gone.

If he is legally deported by a hearing, that is totally different.
Actually he is from El Salvador, so could legally be deported there.
But all the rest of the plane load came from Venezuela, so all of them were illegal to deport to El Salvador.

Where was the Supreme Court when we had DOZENS of wrongly imprisoned citizens being HELD WITHOUT CHARGES? Another politically motivated dog and pony show,

No one ever before was "held without charges".
The closest that anyone has ever done that in the US was the internment of the Japanese in WWII.

Damn, I figured the leftist gang-banger loving dems would be all over this one.

Actually I do like "gangs" in that the Founders were gangs like the "Sons of Liberty".
Whenever there are gangs, usually it is due to problems with government corruption.
Like clearly Bukele clearly is an evil dictator.

Wrong.
There is no "deportation order" because only a judge can to that after a hearing, and there was no hearing.
Previous hearing has granted him a stay for asylum and citizenship application, just like all the Cubans in Miami.

Bukele clearly is in violation of US and international law.
No he isn't. US law as nothing to do with El Salvador. International law doesn't apply to immigration policies of countries. You struck out. Bukele is upholding El Salvador law which the correct way to go. Take your global shit and stuff it.

He's a gang banger in a terrorist gang. He got nailed and squealed asylum. You are full of shit. The s.o.b is also a wife beater according to his own wife Jennifer Vasquez. He did have a deportation order.

The SCOTUS justices should've known that our beloved administration wouldn't know the meaning of the four syllable word "facilitate". 'Git 'er done' they might've understood.
