I suggest we stop funding the Iraqi recovery, and just allow the free market to recover Iraq for us.

GunnyL said:You really are about this Administration failing, regardless the cost, aren't you? Does the part where if this administration fails in Iraq, WE THE FREAKIN' PEOPLE of the US fail too?
A willingness to sell your Nation down the drain for petty partisan politics is beneath contempt.

One can only conclude that you are willing to see this Nation fail just to support your left-wingnut political agenda; which, really stands for little more than "anything Bush does is wrong" and/or "Bush lied."
Impressive.

Also, the Iraqis may not know how a free market works to its full potential.
Let it go, commy. Your not in Iraq, how does this affect you?
NATO AIR said:Is this a new Howard Dean talking point?
Yea, that worked wonders for the US, and especially for the Vietnamese themselves.
The U.S. can still provide security without us having to pay for the reconstruction. The free market can pay for the reconstruction. Individual Iraqi citizens can decide that they want a piece of the new Iraq, and make investments, and jobs, and ignite an economy. If they rely on us to rebuild their country for them, they will grow lazy, and complacent, and will never be able to get off the U.S.'s tit.GunnyL said:You're dancing aound the point. The free market knows how it works. The free market force is all around you, Luke.
A substantial portion of my tax dollars is being squandered in Iraq.
A larger portion by far are being squander in entitlement programs! We don't get to pick and choose.SpidermanTuba said:Then let the force of the free market bring it into equilibrium. Its about freedom.
