"CNBC is reporting that President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Monday that instructs the United States Department of Justice to pause prosecutions of Americans accused of bribing foreign government officials with the purpose of obtaining business in their countries"

Pausing prosecutions?

Sounds to me this is getting personal.

A White House official confirmed the report, telling CNBC, “A pause in enforcement to better understand how to streamline the FCPA to make sure it’s in line with economic interests and national security.

How about we wait until Attorney General Bondi actually publishes the new FCPA enforcement guidelines before we start criticizing them, shall we?

Or is this another sacred cow that no one dare question?

He obviously has someone in mind. Sadly the Democrats will have no soap box to stand on to condemn this. It's why we need more than the two corrupt parties.

......or NO political parties at all. 🤷‍♂️

"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." -- George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796

Foreign-Trade Karens

Our corporations are put at an extreme disadvantage by this effort to interfere with the way foreigners traditionally do business. We lose business to others who don't go around preaching ethics where we have no right to impose that on other countries.

You have an interesting point to discuss but let me start with this. What is being imposed on other countries?

Whenever degenerate democrats come up with something it's best to wait until you find out what's really going on. Democrats lie so much.

Nosy Neighbors

Loss of trade for them and for us if they don't do it our way, which is to campaign finance instead of direct bribery.

The internal affairs of foreign countries are none of our business. Those who meddle should limit themselves to improving our own affairs at home and quit annoying useful foreign classes.

The self-righteous nannies who passed this unrealistic restraint did so out of frustration with not being able to be bossy enough at home. The Liberal do-gooders are also expressing their jealous hatred of our own business community, which they cover up by emoting it into moral outrage.

The corruption of other countries aren't really our business. The corruption of our businesses is.

This is going to be the most corrupt administration since Grant

The difference is Grant wasn't really corrupt but he wasn't all that interested in what others were doing.

Thanks Nostradamus.

... meanwhile back on Earth, DOGE continues to uncover waste, fraud and abuse instituted and/or ignored by the last Administration.

And moves to remove bribery as a crime??!

No such thing has occurred or is planned, you're either incapable or unwilling to acknowledge reality, which is it?

Do you know what thread you’re posting on?

Yeah and unlike You I've actually read and comprehended the story posted in the OP.

There are no "moves to remove bribery as a crime", just a pause in prosecutions under the FCPA while Attorney General Bondi reviews and revises the enforcement guidelines.

You're either a liar or a retard, my guess is both, now please feel free to continue with your idiotic, hyper-partisan fantasies.
