Ah, the duality of Sting. Fantastic musician. Pompous, pretentious ass. | Sting, who was in a band as a grown man, thinks grown men can't be in bands

from MOJO:

“I don’t think any grown man can be in a band, actually,” Sting said in a recent interview with MOJO. “A band is a teenage gang. Who wants to be in a teenage gang when you’re knocking 70? It doesn’t allow you to evolve.”

Sting conveniently glossed over the fact that he fronted The Police between the ages of 26 to 32, meaning he was, in fact, in a band as a grown man

So.... why should we care what he has to say?

Slayer is still making good music and they're all getting old. Korn still makes bangers and they're old. SlipKnoT is making killer albums and they're all in their 50s or better. So who the fuck cares? If the music is good, I don't care how old you are.

The lead singer of my most favorite band will be 64 on his next birthday. :) :) :)

God bless you and the past and present members of Sawyer Brown always!!!
