Steve Bannon nails it -- twice in a row

The President elect nominates his cabinet and Congress has to approve them. How the fuck is that fascism ?

it is necessary to know in depth the life, beliefs, and principles of both its political leaders (such as Benito Mussolini) and its philosophical leaders (such as Giovanni Gentile).

Mussolini was an Italian military man, journalist, and politician who was a member of the Italian Socialist Party for 14 years. In 1910, he was appointed editor of the weekly La Lotta di Classe (The Class Struggle), and the following year he published an essay entitled “The Trentino as seen by a Socialist.” His journalism and political activism led him to prison, but soon after he was released, the Italian Socialist Party—increasingly strong and having achieved an important victory at the Congress of Reggio Emilia—put him in charge of the Milanese newspaper Avanti!

Because Congress is now all Republican and controlled by the Far Right and will do whatever Trump tells them to do.

You cannot run away and hide from the fact that in 2025, the country will be run by ONE man (Trump) and he is a fascist. Ignore it if you want but that is the reality (FACT) of what is now happening

That’s not what Trump wants.

He is openly demanding that Congreess recess so he can use a parlimentary trick to name his cabinet without Congressional approval.

His other trick was to leave the Presidential appointment post vacant, so the department wind up being run in caretaker mode by an “active”. Later in his first regieme he hit on the idea of moving his people into “acting”roles, in order to get around having to submit the nominees for Congressional review.

Did Obama use this parliamentary trick?

OK crazy.

I believe most of us remember the economic malaise of the Obama years and the catastrophe of Bidenomics is fresh in our minds. You wouldn't accept any numbers that I put up, right?
I know you believe it but I believe differently and the reality is that the facts do not prove your view.

Neither Obama nor Biden were great for the economy but you have to remember that Obama inherited an economy that was on the brink of DISASTER by Bush and Obama and brought it back and Biden inherited a pandemic disaster and did his best (which was good enough as it was better than most other countries). Neither Obama nor Biden were the causes of the disasters they inherited.

Expert historians show Obama to be the 9th best president ever and Biden the 14th best. They show Trump being last or among the worst 3.

By the way, you and all the other Trumpers say that historians are biased. The number of historians saying this is 154 and among that many, normally common sense would suggest that "some" would disagree and say the opposite. the reality is that you cannot FIND ONE single historian that says that Trump was a good president or that Obama was a bad one.

You are not battling me, you are battling facts and the reality is that Mother Nature (facts) always wins in the end, even though on occasions it is a very slow process that often involves a lot of pain for those that deny the facts.

Sorry, but you really need to do a better job in proving your view than simply using words and your belief

Put them up and we can debate them. Numbers always need to be compared to the situation worldwide before blame can be put on one person.

For example, I know that Trumpers like to blame inflation on Biden but when you COMPARE Biden with the rest of the world (which was affected the same way the U.S. was - due to Covid), you will see that Biden did better than the other nations.

Reality is that things happen in life that makes life better or worse and it is reality-of-LIFE that is to blame and not the leaders that are to blame. Pandemics throughout history have caused huge damage and there is not one single leader in history that could have prevented the pandemic from occurring.

The two most fascist Presidents we've had in the 21st century have been Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

The financial crisis from the GW Bush era was followed by the populism of Barack Obama, who Thomas Sowell defines as a fascist.

You`re using words that you don`t understand. Fascism is far right, Einstein. :auiqs.jpg:

The citizens just elected Trump.
The citizens elected Chavez in Venezuela in 1998 and look at how that turned out. Would you enjoy living in 2024 Venezuela? Is it a better place than it was in 1997?

The base likes it loud, aggressive, simple, hyperbolic, pugilistic.

It appears to be the only thing they understand.

Bannon knows this. He proves it when he talks to normal adults.
All the RW media types understand this very well. It's the rage that sells.

Did Obama use this parliamentary trick?
All presidents use the recess appointment action to try to get their nominees through (Bush jr. did it 176 times).

Nonetheless, here is an interesting fact about Obama's recess appointments:

Six of President Obama’s recess appointments were made during recesses between Congresses or between sessions of Congress (intersession recess appointments). The remaining 26 were made during recesses within sessions of Congress (intrasession recess appointments). In each of the 32 instances in which President Obama made a recess appointment, the individual also was nominated to the position to which he or she was appointed. In all of these cases, a related nomination to the position preceded the recess appointment. In 20 of the 32 cases, the Senate later confirmed the nominee to the position to which he or she had been recess appointed. The nominations of the 12 remaining recess appointees were either returned to, or withdrawn by, the President.

Do you think that Trump will have the same integrity with his recess appointments that Obama showed? I don't believe so.

Not, US citizens.

There's a long list of words in their world that simply mean "doesn't think exactly like me".

Fascist, Nazi, communist, socialist, evil, Satanic, demonic, RINO, radical, extreme. A few more.

Does the “base” wear pink pussy hats and march on D.C.? Does the “base” burn shit down when criminal crackheads get choked out?
