What these union toughs fail to realize is that every employer requires their public staff to look the part.

The fact that they now have powerful labor bosses behind them doesn't change that.

They seem to be showing a lot of chutzpah for a group of workers who can be replaced with vending machines.

I didn't think you'd get it right. Colour me unsurprised.

Employees of the popular coffee chain Starbucks filed a civil action Wednesday, arguing that the company violated state law by refusing to reimburse workers after requiring them to buy new clothes to comply with a dress code.

Well, when I was with the state we were required to wear either a navy or black colored t-shirt and socks with our issue uniform. The only thing we were given was a boot allowance.

That said cheap-ass Starbucks could go ahead and issue a black collared polo with their logo on it as it would look more professional.

It would then be up to the employee to either purchase more (at cost) or launder the issue one before each shift.

Well shit!

Starbucks did tell the network that workers received two shirts at no cost.

**** the employees then.....Unions are the devil.

How is this different than all of the other dress codes and uniforms every other retailer does?
So a company wants uniformity and normalcy in their employee dress?
Looks to me like just a bunch of Karen's whining and crying when they should be examining as to why they are 25 years old and still living at home and working part time.

See...

..... I think Starbucks should just nip this in the bud...

..... ..... Stop being boobs about the whole affair.

..... ..... ..... Provide workers with their uniforms.

..... ..... ..... ..... Bikini's for ladies and g-strings for guys.

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... Then allow optional clothing at their own expense.

The workers at Target are required to wear red shirts, it just the company policy and the general public should wear anything by red if they know a target run in on their schedule.

But the difference is that Target is Proudly Scab, and the union thuggarinos aren't in charge so it isn't a problem. When I was a young man and worked in a supermarket, men had to wear dress shirts and neck ties. Dress codes are just what is done in business.
