Stacey Abrams Says “It Is A Fallacy That We Know Exactly When A Pregnancy Starts”

How is it doctors tell the mother 7 months out the exact day she’s expected to give birth?

The due date is only an estimate. Only around 4 percent of children born are born on the exact due date ESTIMATED by the doctors. 90 percent are born 2 weeks early or 2 weeks later.

More than 90% are born two weeks either side of the predicted date.

But, as noted above, only 4% (or 4.4%, ignoring pregnancies with complications etc) are born on the predicted date itself - in other words, the chance of this happening is less than one in 20.

Shitforbrains thinks doctors are off by months in expectation dates!

Actually, 90 percent of the time doctors are off by 2 weeks on either side of the estimated due date. And, being off by 2 weeks on either side of the estimate can add up to around a month.

So 90% are in a 2 week window.

Thanks for validating what I said.

It’s called ‘science’

Who said months?
With a six week limit on abortions, days will make you ineligible

Stacey Abrams is smarter than you
She knows that there is no way to precisely define the moment of conception
