To celebrate the Victory over Nazi Germany, it seems to trigger some people.

Trump cut all federal funding for "pride" parades.

You don't have to fund them, you've been forced to rear-wheel drive for so long you forgot how to do it our, the normal people's way. So now they bang each other for free, for love of the game so to speak.

Probably still some around to be restored, i have seen many WW2 vehicles and tanks, i was in Normandy last june and saw many, i think a WW2 Willys jeep costs about £25k these days maybe more, see the images these two were in Normandy last June, several years ago i rode in one down Hells Highway in the Netherlands in a convoy with two reenactors who were kitted out as US 101st Airborne, quite a memory, forgive me i digress.

I believe in live and let live, what i don't get is why they need to have a parade funded or not? high profile and often lewd and vulgar.

LOL.....For years you could get them (along with CJ2As and M38s) for no more than $500.00.

Back then (70s) the first thing you did with them was convert them from 6-volt to 12 volt and put in electric wiper motors....Well motor as the MBs only had one.....The passenger side only had a hand crank wiper......It confused the hell out of inspectors come vehicle inspection time.

Interesting, i would think there would be many Willy's Jeeps from the war in the US, not sure if you have seen this guy Bruce Crompton and his expert team, he travels the world seeking WW2 weapons and restores them including tanks and artillery.

I'm confused. Why would the federal government provide money for parades held by private organizations? Cities, as independent municipal corporations, can spend their money however they want, but it must be done legally—funds cannot be stolen or misappropriated. If fraud occurs, that would be the business of both state and federal governments. However, it would be different if a corporation is owned by the federal or state government; in that case, the government could have much more input. It seems like a parade would be held to benefit everyone, not just a narrow interest.
