For some weird reason I woke up thinking about this team this morning, I have no idea why, was up late last night placing numerous sports bets and then went to bed and this team came to mind when I woke up.

I remember in the 1960s Linemen weighed in the 230-250 lbs range.
The New York Jets (AFL) had a lineman who weighed over 300 lbs. They used to isolate him in replays where someone would just cut his legs out and he couldn’t get up.
The commentary was….This is why you can’t have a 300 lb lineman

Not where I grew up. He would be considered ''colored'' like my grandmother . But there are plenty top class white athletes
in the NFL today and in the past.
