I went to the inaugural Miami E Prix Electric Car race. My impressions are that electric are not quite ready for prime time. Short track 1.3 miles and 39 laps. The problem is that for an Electric car race pit stops are not to change tires or refuel but rather to change the entire car. Seriously, these cars can only run 20 laps before their batteries are drained. Just a side note, these cars sound like crap, producing a very annoying whine. For now NASCAR, IMSA and Indy Car have nothing to worry about. Was still a fun day out in the sunshine.
