june 27 2025 Mamdani's official campaign website features a policy memo under the title "Supporting homeowners and ending deed theft."

The document says that if elected his administration will "Shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods."

It adds: "The property tax system is unbalanced because assessment levels are artificially capped, so homeowners in expensive neighborhoods pay less than their fair share. The Mayor can fix this by pushing class assessment percentages down for everyone and adjusting rates up, effectively lowering tax payments for homeowners in neighborhoods like Jamaica and Brownsville while raising the amount paid in the most expensive Brooklyn brownstones."

In a 2017 rap song, Mamdani openly expressed admiration for the “Holy Land Five,” the leadership of a defunct nonprofit convicted of funneling over $12 million to the terrorist group Hamas.

In the track titled “Salaam,” Mamdani, performing under his former rap alias “Mr. Cardamom,” proclaimed: “My love to the Holy Land Five. You better look ’em up.”

The lyrics were uncovered by the antisemitism watchdog group Canary Mission and publicized in a one-minute video released Friday.

“This is not a misstep; this is deliberate,” Canary Mission stated. “Mamdani sent his ‘love’ to convicted Hamas funders. Let that sink in.”

The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, once the largest Muslim charity in the U.S., was shut down by federal authorities in December 2001, three months after 9/11. Its leadership—Shukri Abu Baker, Mohammad El-Mezain, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader, and Abdulrahman Odeh—was convicted in 2008 on 108 counts, including providing material support to Hamas, tax fraud, and money laundering. Sentences ranged from 15 to 65 years in prison.

Mamdani on the other hand is sufficiently racially acceptable being of Indian heritage, is a naturalized immigrant giving him extra points with Democrats, promises everybody lower costs of living with rent freezes, free child care, free buses, and all to be accomplished by mostly raising taxes on the wealthy. (If he wins in November, expect a lot more exodus of big money from New York.)

Add to that being very strong pro Palestinian and anti-Israel/Jew how could he not be a darling of the woke Democrats?

New Yorkers better hope the GOP is running a very strong and attractive candidate against him.

Well on the bright side, all the New York Republicans seem to be solidly behind Curtis Sliwa and Mamdani is unlikely to get the New York Jewish vote--most Jews in New York are Democrat.

If Cuomo decides to stay in the race as an Independent however--I guess that option is open to him--that could split the vote to ensure a Mamdani win.

We'll see how it goes.

I question his political acumen but he isn't targeting whites, he is targeting wealthier neighborhoods that tend to be white. That is just a fact. What he is trying to do is end the tax loopholes that favor the wealthy over the working class, not a bad position to hold.
