I've always been a fan of John Anderson ever since he released "Seminole Wind" back in 1992. While I was driving home tonight, I heard a cover of one of Anderson's songs on Wisconsin Public Radio, of all stations. I hardly ever listen to public radio, but they played a pretty decent cover of Anderson's song "Years", by Sierra Ferrell.

It's a pretty good version, if you can past her nose ring and tats. :laughing0301:

Nope. Nose rings cuts it!

The thing about a good song, is everyone wants to do their version of it.

Blake Shelton:

Of the three, I like the original best, your girl comes up a distant 3rd.

God bless you and John always!!!

Nice song, nice sentiment, but a little too melancholy for me. Then again, I don't have kids so maybe I just don't understand. I get my yearly country update in Vegas at the NFR. But like your song says, one day that'll be gone too. Then it'll be time to smile and ride into the sunset.

Tyler Farr "Cowgirl" and Joe Nichol "Good Day For Livin" were the last two songs I saw performed at the NFR at Thomas and Mack Center. Positive, beautiful, uplifting, appreciative, inspirational, motivational, and hopeful kind of songs. I only wish I knew how to put them on here for you guys to hear. Technology is beyond me.

Sounds like a modern well-produced pop artist trying to add a little extra nostalgic twang for effect to me. I actually like it a bit....but real old-tyme cowboy music it ain't. Sorreeee! 😏

I don't dislike that video at all, OP...I like it...but as far as true country music goes, let's just get real here fer a moment! 😄
