Social-Emotional Learning vs. Live PD

Hubby and I were openly mocking SEL while watching Live PD last night. For example,

"If that guy would stop running from the cops, they'd give him a sucker and ask him to express his big feelings."

"That guy attacked the officer because they hadn't 'built a relationship'."

"That lady spit at the cop because she's 'dysregulated'. She probably just needs some deep breathing in the safe space."

Is there any profession that puts out more utter swill than Big Education? Their ideas are rot. They never, ever work in the real world. From a stupid paper given out last week, and I quote directly:

"And let's remember that, while behaviors might be challenging, they do not define our students.....we are here to support them, and in doing so, we support each other...." This swill was written on Instagram by some school psych who goes by @therelatableschoolpsych

So inane it's laughable. The prisons are filled with people we're not supposed to believe are "defined by their behavior", I guess. Education literally trying to teach an entire generation that you can behave any way you want and the only consequences you will receive is coddling and care.

This is why I support the space programs.

Until we can establish viable self-supporting colonies on the Earth's Moon, Mars, or other bodies in the Solar System...

..... ..... ..... I'm not sure if the human race as we know it will survive.
