Schumer tried extortion to get Trump's nominees approved, $1b seems a bit steep to do your job.

Trump tells Schumer to ‘GO TO HELL’ over Senate nominee deal after negotiations blow up

Thune’s bid to change rules for nominees faces GOP opposition

“We put them on notice and said, ‘We’re not going to play games with you anymore. Now you’re forcing us to change Senate rules,’” said Mullin, a deputy Senate GOP whip. “So, soon as we get back from August, we’re going to be working on rules change. When we get back, we’re going to have to implement that rules change.”

This is a very sticky wicket, how do you stop the minority's tyranny without giving up your right to be tyrannical, unless the dems go nuclear in the future?

IMHO without Manchin and Sinema the dems will go nuclear, guaranteed, so Thune and the holdouts need to go nuclear now.

Go Nuclear?

It all depends on Trump's success in negotiations over the Ukraine?

If Trump attempts to make a deal that's suitable to Vlad and Russia, the Pentagon will send America back to choosing a new president.

Vlad will be facing the same prospect in his country.
