Kelso teachers vote to defy court order and continue strike
"Kelso teachers voted overwhelmingly Sunday night to defy a court order to call off their strike.
“What I’m hoping is it sends a message to the district: ‘Look, let’s sit down at the table, so that we can go back to the table,’” said union spokeswoman and Kelso teacher Sandy DeBruler. “We’re trying to get some type of movement (on bargaining).”
