Me, I am not proud OR ashamed of my genes (English/German/Irish). I am proud that I found Jesus and His True Church... but I can't even be proud of that. If I had been raised in an anti-Catholic home, I possibly would today be anti-Catholic... Horrors.

I'm so glad my father was Catholic. My mother was not but was supposed to raise us kids Catholic and kind of did... but kind of was enough to get me interested in studying the Church in my later years.
