One of the most interesting things I find in these times is the drop in community intelligence that has occurred in my home city due to the influence of its newspaper, radio programming, and liberal arts college. The city, that was once a centrist refuge in New England, has now become a bizarre, mutated, disaster area of dopiness that is the laughingstock of the state. There does not appear to be an emergency declaration due to city dementia and that is disturbing. The city is ground zero for the chemically induced knucklehead neurological pathology that establishes wokeness in a community and all the cocaine that went up the noses of locals in the 1980’s appears to be paying off today. The city’s half-in-bag population apparently has no problem with a medical center whose Fentanyl stores were shared with the locals a few years ago, and many former residents have relatives that have swallowed something and gone braindead before they hit the ground.
No problem, say the city media. People are getting what they want, and that is important! The people who voted in line with the city leadership were recently rewarded with a new larger, state liquor store. Older observers have learned to watch what “woke” administrations do more than what they say. Though there is no medical evidence that chronic alcohol use enhances public awareness and Bell Curve status, it seems to be prescribed by the liberal movers and shakers sitting at the control panel in the city.
Alcohol, mixed with weed and energized with methamphetamines is the fuel that keeps the furnaces of leftist/Marxist philosophy at the helm in the city, and there is nothing is on the horizon that suggests anything will change anytime soon. The city is an embedded enclave of idiocy that is enduring quite well as the rest of the country is focused on common sense. While the US has moved on after the calamity of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the city has dug its heels in to show the world that you cannot fix stupid.
If you can read this you probably didn’t go through the city school system where the dumbass of many locals was hatched. It goes unreported in most cases and for good reasons. The city’s media and liberal arts college know what they have, and like John B. Calhoun’s Norway rat studies, the city is at a critical stage of mental decline. The liquor, the weed, and the prescribed drugs keep the subjects of the experiment in a haze that prevents situational awareness and locks fools in a pen where they like the conditions.
I grew up in that city and I am sad to see what it has become.
