Well not according to the oil industry. They said yesterday that they are not focused on increasing production but on maximizing profits. That means controlling the supply so as not to overrun demand. That way they keep the price high.

Which if you guys will recall is exactly what those of us with functioning brains said would happen.

When not actually needed to meet demand, it's far more expensive to have the oil above ground than below ground. Yes this simple fact has long been noted.

Oil companies are not going to increase their costs just to appease a politician.

I noticed gas prices are down near 20 cents in my AO from last week....$2.89 average from $3.09.
Same here in Suffolk. It went up to 3.15, a 20 cent increase almost over night and now it is down to 2.93. All in about a week or so.

You don’t hear “Drill, baby, drill” because President Musk wants all that cool federal cash to go not to the people, but to subsidies for EV battery production and charging stations. They don’t build themselves. Ayn Rand would have called him a looter.

A person with contracts with the government and a vested interest where the money is spent deciding where it is to be spent.

A major conflict of interest and illegal.

You keep getting ur village people as the so called smart ones.

Forecasts are for lower WTI prices next year per barrel. This is helpful for the consumer but mitigates against further investment.

On the positive, if true, this means continued moderate gasoline prices - absent tariffs on Canadialand or Latin American producers of course.

The real gougers are the auto makers who, apparently have said they are shifting focus on producing fewer cars, but at a higher price to keep their profits up.

What a way to say thanks to the American taxpayers who bailed their butts out of a crunch.

Which is exactly why I would remove as many restrictions as possible. When this is done supply on both a global basis and domestic basis increases and prices come down. Absent restrictions, forces foreign and domestic companies to increase supply and/or lower prices.

How does one explain the average price of gas per Presidential term (4 years) being lower during a Republican President (Bush, Trump) vs a Democrat President (Obama, Biden)? Republicans have less restrictions.

Couldn't think of any mature and seasoned President - propagating such an infantile slogan.

No one who’s read your posts is surprised by your inability to think.

You people still don't know the difference between drilling and production?

Thanks for proving once again, that You and Your ilk - can't comprehend simple sentences/statements.
I was referencing about a MATURE and SEASONED President. - not about some human scumbag and pathological fraudster.

Idi Amin, Mugabe or. e.g. Bokassa, would indeed be on par with your Trump.
