I turned on MSNBC this morning just for shits and giggles. Some twat was on there begging Joe Biden to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President, and way he could. Aside from having Trump killed and starting a civil war, yes, they might actually try to lock him up. But even if they did, this would be just another first for a President who's had many other firsts: Running the most powerful country in the world from a prison cell or house arrest.

Will Merchan lock Trump up?

Sentencing is 7/11/24, in about 2-weeks.

Even if there was jail time for the charges (which is questionable), Trump would almost certainly be free during the appeal. The appeal itself comes after the sentencing.

Look at Bannon. The man was convicted and sentenced in October of 2022. And he didn't go to jail until just today.

Its highly unlikely that Trump will be in jail between now and the election.
