50 seasons.....and the only reason SNL is still on the air is because the left uses it to spread propaganda.
This is only my opinion, but SNL, for the most part is unwatchable now.
When SNL started 50 years ago, the cast members were called "The Not Quite Ready For Primetime Players". The whole show focused around the guest host, and his bits. 40 mins of the guest host doing his show in front of a studio audience. 15 mins of the cast members doing their thing to fill in between sets. Eventually the show became about the cast members. All of the sudden they were the main draw. Over the years the focus has shifted back to the guest hosts because the quality of the cast members had suffered. That's pretty much what it's about now. Without the famous guest host nobody would watch these people. For the most part, they aren't that talented. Many of them are trapped into being on SNL or nothing else.
Some former cast members said that nobody leaves SNL feeling like it was a great experience.
Many of them said that leaving was the first time in a long time that they could actually relax while working on projects.
Jim Breuer said it was like being in High School or college, and being bullied by other cast members and head writers.
Many SNL cast members had a drug habit, by the time they left SNL, just to handle the stress involved in working in the hostile environment that was always present.
SNL was Hollywood. Anyone who is considered important at the moment was on that show. So, if you want to know how the left thinks, focus on the mess that SNL has been for decades. Why are so many celebrities so screwed up in the head? Well just check out what's going on at SNL.
Find out what the deal was in that show. How did these famous people deal with each other. All of those swelled heads. The mansions and the wealth. And this is how the left uses threats of economic hardship to scare celebrities into being Democrat supporters. The parties they attend have turned out to be at best a bribe. At worst, outright blackmail. Enter Epstein and P. Diddy. To get the good gigs you have to mingle. And if your name shows up on a guest list, you belong to them. So you say what they want you to say, or allow them to publish statements credited to you.
