The swamp has made government service a get rich quick scheme with a lifetime membership if you do what you are told....here in California we have a case of a public servant employee on his second year of paid administrative leave for punching a woman out cold in a bar...a woman he didn't know that didn't have a chance to defend herself because he hit her from behind...yet the local government can't fire him....its systematic of a government out of control and way too big and powerful....this is why real republicans call for smaller government....

The incumbent has that power because we give it to them. And most of the time they have that power because of the duopoly, people will vote for that person because they are from the right party and nothing else matters.

The Dems do not reelect their incumbents at any a higher rate than do the Repubs.

It is this sort of "give my party a free pass and blame the other party" that has created the royalty class. Since the government is "of the people" we have the government we deserve, as we voted for it.
