Single loose wire caused Baltimore bridge collapse that could cost Maryland $5.2B to replace
NTSB finds loose wire caused Dali cargo ship to crash into Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, killing six. Maryland failed to assess bridge vulnerability, NTSB also said.
Poor performance by the ship's crew and material condition caused the ship to lose power. The bridge was also not upgraded to prevent such disasters. The costs will rise to about 5.2 billion to replace the bridge.
