As I have reported before
These postmistresses are DEI cafeteria worker hires
I called today because no mail since Friday and they were MAD about how many calls they received. “Carriers get vacations and it causes scheduling problems mail recipients don’t understand”
Basically it’s not their responsibility
Somebody higher up needs to know

So in other words, neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds, except personal vacations?

When those essential bills and notices get to you late, can you blame the post office?

I have been in an ongoing battle with AT and T Mobility . My bill is due on 15th and their billing date is the 23/24. I never get the bill until about the 5th and it Always takes them 8 days from mailing to post the payment . In essence I have two days from receipt to get it to them with no late charge. They say it’s my problem to take up with the hoochies at my post office

Wrong. You should be able to change your billing cycle to get the bills sooner or get e-bills sent to your computer.
Years ago, I had a buddy who moved out to California. We wrote regularly and it was like clockwork that our letters and postcards got to the other (~2500 miles) in three days.
I bet it takes at least twice that time now. Maybe more.

I don't think it is DEI as much as just government workers. Years ago I used to pick up the mail at the post office in a large city. The window opened at 8:00AM and that is when most of the window workers scheduled their coffee breaks. While waiting to get the mail you could see one or two employees handing out the mail to those in line and six or seven window employees standing in the back drinking coffee and chatting.

I'd SAY that's a DEI hire!

Sounds like the personnel manager needs an education on how to schedule vacations.

Postal service has surely suffered over the years. I started getting late notices from creditors a couple years ago. I found this troubling as I would send the payments immediately after receiving the bill. Then I discovered that I was receiving the bill long periods after they sent it. I believe it is a combination of poor postal service and creditors wanting everyone to go paperless. I get an online notice the day the bill is generated now and print it out and send it. Sometimes it is two weeks before I receive the actual paper bill. LOL, my credit card renewed this year and I was notified that it had been sent. Three weeks later, the company and I decided we better cancel that one and regenerate another. I received the replacement and three weeks after, a full two and a half months after the notification, I received the original replacement. The more technology and claims of better service we hear, the worse it gets. Incompetence.

Most disputes of late payments in the past have been decided on postmark. Sent was considered received. Now somehow the billing agency claims it must be in their hands or a late charge will be added. SMH.
