TSA and federal websites like Social Security are already collecting as much facial recognition data as they can. So they can track you anywhere you are, shut off your digital money if you do not obey, and control where and how much you can travel. Protesting your living conditions not allowed.

Old news. This story dates back to 2019. Though, TBH, sort of surprising seeing Trump on board with it. . . but then again, with Musk in there? Maybe not.

Though I have to admit, this fits with buttercup has been saying.

While electricity becomes more expensive, surveillance and data storage have an increasing electricity demand. Government will eventually reduce its surveillance with the usual amount of shouting, shutdowns, pandering, etc.

No they will just tax us more to pay for our own surveillance

No they will just tax us more to pay for our own surveillance
More than likely, yeah.

Especially if all the politicians don't strip that digital ID requirement out of that immigration bill that hasn't passed yet.

No they will just tax us more to pay for our own surveillance
That may be tried for a while, but they will soon reach hard limits of what can be done with available energy. They can't collect taxes if we don't have the energy to run an economy.
