Should Mortimer take Ozempic to lose weight?

I lost near 100# in two years by cutting sugars out of my diet and reducing portions.

I did it in a vain attempt to avoid a knee replacement but sadly time/wear has caught up with me. but that's another story.......Still and all I sure feel better overall for it.

Just small examples to help yourself:

I used to add a teaspoon of sugar to my coffee each morning.....I drink it black now.

I cut out sodas almost entirely. I used to drink one a day. Water is your friend.

No fast food to speak of.....I carry my provender with me when out and about.

I even cut out the morning eatery as far as the food went.

It’s all true, i feel very "heavy" when i walk and my joints and knees hurt, i barely can walk, i feel as if im a heavy stone or carry a heavy stone. Thats why i decided to take action now.
Good luck

and it can also cause other problems....
Guess it is a trade off.

Weighing in excess of three hundred ponds like Mortimer is never good. Many people with that much weight get frustrated by the lack of success.
Drugs like Ozempic help get over those weight loss plateaus

Mortimer does not seem like the gym type

Says Dr Left Pinger .
The same guy who believed Covid was a natural virus and thought taking the Killer Jabs was correct .
Why you should listen to your doctor and not some conspiracy moron

My brother lost 60 pounds will no ill effects.

My wife and I have been using a Wegovy cocktail for a while now. Due to some injuries and not being able to exercise as I was used to I had slowly packed on a few pounds. We were both heavier than we liked and were not having much luck losing it. Since we started, about a year ago, I am down close to 40 pounds and my wife about the same.

We have both basically had to buy a whole new wardrobe as I am down more than 5 inches in my waist. It has changed our whole life, for the better. We now eat better, exercise more and just feel better about ourselves. My sister posted a FB picture taken a few years ago just the other day taken at my mom's 80th birthday celebration and I was like "Holy fuck, I didn't realize how bad I had gotten".

It is not cheap, as it is not via insurance we are paying out of pocket. But we view it as an investment in our future health. We both view it as one of the best choices we have made in a while.

Don't you have to stay on these drugs for life to keep from getting fat again? It really is as easy as eating real foods and not foods out of a box, and exercising daily. Tracking your walking is the best way to get started, buy an Apple watch or Fitbit or something and start keeping track of your progress. Start lifting light weights and stick with it. Dont stop walking in the winter.

At the end of the day, what matters most is what food choices you make. Natural foods are healthy and delicious. Foods in a box have been stripped of nutrients and often cause weight gain (and who knows what else)

Start researching various YouTube channels on diet and exercise, it really helps. The more you know, the more likely you will be to make changes.

No, you do not. That is if you make lifestyle changes along with the drug. If you just rely on the drug totally then yes.

morty the decision is yours....but just remember you might get a side effect that may be your new problem...if you are a diabetic it will not cause the side effect i am talking about...im sure your doctor will check you out first...good luck...

That means you are Type 2 Diabetic not a Type 1 that needs insulin.
If you are on Metformin, you should be getting regular checks of blood sugar and A1c

If you are Diabetic, your insurance should pick up Ozempic.
I don’t know about Europe

You need to talk to your doctor about getting your blood work done.

I've been doing this every year for about 10 years. My last one showed higher than normal cholesterol, which I knew was out of range from previous tests. I paid $300 for some DNA testing and found out I have a genetic mutation that causes this (high cholesterol), it is not my diet or lifestyle. My doctor told me this before the DNA test that I likely inherited this condition, and he was right.

Thanks everyone for the informations and comments. I will go with diet and excersise and first talk to my doctors, get checked, and everything before i take it, but i think if i get a prescription and im really diabetic it could help me additionally to diet and excersise. it can support diet and excersise.
