Any of us old enough to remember Secretariat saw the most dominant Triple Crown Winner in history. He lived a very long life eventually dying at 19. The autopsy revealed a gargantuan heart weighing nearly 22 pounds! The average race horse's heart is about 8.5 pounds. No wonder he won by 31 lengths at the Belmont, heck he probably could have done another lap.

 
I'm sure they roided him up somehow.

Black trainer stayed after being freed, his obit was in every major paper in the nation. Worth the a tour....they also make some nice wine. Most of the furnishings are original. Most Derby winners trace their lineage to there
