And this;
How Is Veltri, the Anti-Trump FBI Agent, in Charge of Investigating Trump’s Assassination Attempt Again?
Well, here we go again. It looks like the FBI is back to playing politics, and this time, it involves a second attempt on Donald Trump’s life. You’d think after the first try, they’d be on high alert. But when FBI Special Agent Jeffrey Veltri showed up at a press conference, it was hard to miss the irony. Here we have a man tasked with investigating an attempt on the life of the former president, yet, according to a whistleblower, he’s been one of the most vocal anti-Trump agents out there. I guess when the FBI is more worried about optics than actual justice, you end up with someone like Veltri at the helm.
So, Veltri stood before reporters, flanked by Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, State Attorney Dave Aronberg, and a Secret Service spokesman, telling everyone how the FBI will fully support the investigation. His assurances fell flat, though. This is the same FBI agent who, according to a whistleblower reported by the media, had to scrub his anti-Trump social media posts before getting promoted to lead the Miami Field Office. I mean, can you make this up? The FBI apparently cared more about whether Veltri looked unbiased than whether he actually was.
Let’s not forget the details of this attempted assassination. A man allegedly hid in the bushes at Trump International Golf Club with an SKS-style rifle, aiming through the fence while Trump played golf. Luckily, a Secret Service agent spotted him, and the man fled before being caught by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. You’d think this would have the full attention of the FBI. But Veltri, who’s been on the record as an anti-Trump guy, is now in charge? Sure, we can totally trust him to be fair, right?
Veltri’s anti-Trump bias wasn’t exactly a secret. The whistleblower said it was “well known” within the FBI, and it seems the higher-ups were more concerned about scrubbing his online footprint than addressing his blatant bias. FBI Director Christopher Wray and other top officials reportedly ordered Veltri to delete all his anti-Trump social media posts, trying to make him look “non-political.” Newsflash: you can delete tweets, but it doesn’t erase your bias. This is the same guy who, according to the whistleblower, led efforts to target so-called “right-wing radicals” within the FBI. Convenient, huh?
