Authorized SSA staff have access to information to administer benefits, process claims, or handle inquiries. All workers are bound by strict privacy protocols under the Privacy Act of 1974 and SSA policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure. I would imagine DOGE staff will be held to the same standards. Why wouldn't they be?
At any rate the SC is giving them direct access to SSA systems to fix it and to help prevent fraud.

When I give out my SSN to a private enterprise it is usually when I am applying for credit. Why the hell do I want DOGE and the kids who run it to have access to my SSN when I would never give it to them in my working life? What guarantee do I have they won’t abuse that information? What assurance can they give me that Palentir will not put my private information is their private data base?

Equifax gets the information that the credit bureaus supply them based on your credit history_ Your credit history is based on loans and credit cards that YOU applied for.

DOGE has done nothing for me to deserve getting my SS history.

BTW this whole notion of DOGE looking for fraud, if you don’t know by now, is total bullshit. DOGE has found little fraud thus far with SS. So ask yourself why do they want more access to your information? Follow the money.
