Legalize burials at sea.

At $8000 to $20,000 or even more the cost of funerals, memorials and burials of our loved ones is enough to bankrupt many people if they're unprepared .

So I told my wife if I go first just toss me in the ocean. She has said she wants to be cremated, but that's creepier than my idea, even though it's been normalized

But it's probably illegal so don't tell anyone.

We both plan on being cremated and our ashes dumped in the ocean.

that's my plan.

$1500 covered the trip to the oven, then a one-way boat trip.

(they even thru in the coffee can of my choice)

Feed the sharks.

The circle of life.

But my husband is already cremated and buried in a VA Cemetery, and I will be buried right next to him. My cremation is paid for and the funeral home knows where to send my remains. The VA will pay for my burial.

Funny VA story:

My uncle was (supposedly) on death's doorstep at the VA and he requested his head stone to be delivered to the local funeral home and be put up at the family plot upon his passing.

For some odd reason (VA SNAFU) it arrived at his house and sat on the front porch till he passed a few years later.

My mom fussed about it every time we went there. I think he was proud of beating the VA's prediction by a few years!
