Saudi foreign minister: *Now* would be a very good time for serious negotiations on Palestine

The Saudis threw Trump under the bus after he provided them political support after the execution of Khashoggi.

If they had actually joined UAE and Bahrain in the deal with Israel, Trump might have gotten that Peace Prize.

But tying their support to Palestine playing nice is not going to happen

It's extremely shallow to imply this is about a Nobel, and has seriously devalued since given to the likes of Arafat and Obama, not sure I'd want Trump to follow that disgrace.

Anyone who seamlessly puts UAE and Saudi Arabia within the recent framework of normalization, doesn't understand the mere basics about the main actors in the region.

And those as we already understand are clearly are not Pali-Jihadis.

Saudis guard Mecca and Medina, Islam's most sacred sites as the Muslim waqf.
Jordanian waqf guards the mosque on the Temple Mount, considered 3rd holiest site.

There's no central waqf authority in the Sunni Muslim world, or as a whole,
through an agreement with Israel, Saudi Arabia can become the sole Sunni waqf.

But that's hardly a task for politicians.
It's religious reformation of no small significance.

Saudis didn't throw Trump under the bus,
it would be beyond naive to expect Saudis just jump on that bus, it's not the same thing.

A handful of years ago the mere talk about the alliance was considered preposterous,
today we discuss how come another Arab country didn't follow suit in public agreement.

Shwayah - shwayah as they say in Arabic.
things have their way to proceed.
