Saudi dissident likely detained at consulate

Khashoggi, who was a dissident and journalist, walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to get some documents for his upcoming wedding and hasn't come out.

We don't even know if he's alive or dead, but at least some US senators are talking about this case.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

On the one hand, they've had enough time to destroy the evidence if they killed him there or took him by force somewhere (possibly by car), on the other, it is unlikely an embassy or consulate would not keep a video record of everyone going in and out, and not for a few weeks but for years so as to serve intelligence purposes.
