I picked this one up this morning, made in the early 80s. Likely 1983....I gave $625.00 for it, not great, not terrible.

It's one of the early S&W L-Frames designed to hold-up to a steady diet of full-house .357 loadings. The good thing is it still uses K-Frame grips and holsters.

It was fitted with a four-position adjustable front sight for Metallic Silhouette competition. 6" barrel.

She's a beaut.

Well, it came with Houge rubber grips but I had a set of S&W Talo Edition stocks I put over on it.
Nice choice.

All I can hear when I see that is that the Latino Comedian they call Gabriel Iglesisas...

how large are the grips? I found large frame S&W revolver grips to be too large so had to switch out with Pachmayrs.

Judging by the top strap above the forcing cone (very little gas cutting) I don't think this one has been shot very much.

I can't tell that by the photo, but it's a nice piece.

Most excellent fit!

The Talo Edition grips are highly sought after.....They usually bring around $250.00 for the square butt, tack on another $50.00 for round butt.

I love Arends stocks! I have a set on my N-frame 629 Mountain Revolver and an L-Frame 5-shot .44 mag Model 69.

Boy, prices on the have really took off. Sorta worth it though.

Cant get them anymore since his wife died. They are on EBAY for 3-400.

I haven't checked since they went past $200.00.

I bought a lot of 50-odd sets of various Colt and S&W wood stocks a few years back at a local auction, the Arrends and Talo stocks were in that lot. I was the only bidder!

I sold the run of the mill stocks but kept the valuable ones.

There were six sets of very nice Colt M1917 stocks in that mess!

Ever see one of these by laserlyte Fits in the revolver barrel and fires a red dot with a trigger pull. Great for dry fire practice

^^^Tiny little Donald Trump hands.
I don't have small hands by any stretch but I hate the checkered "target stocks" S&W uses. I'm OK with the smooth ones.

LOL....When I see a S&W revolver with the target stocks I know that there is a $150.00 "discount" waiting for me as I always sell them.
