Rural health clinics and hospitals have been reducing services and closing for decades now due to declining rural populations insufficient to make these facilities financially viable.

The Republican are looking at ways to minimize any harm to the remaining viable rural facilities in the wake of necessary budget cuts to keep the nation financially viable, but some of those rural facilities will close no matter what is done short of putting it all on the taxpayer's back to fund them.


Meanwhile the Democrats exercise their chronic intellectual dishonesty by demonizing anything Trump or GOP instead of looking at the problems realistically and effectively.

I disagree with whomever decided that being dead center and moderate is the least biased. I've found that people who call themselves moderates and neither right nor left leaning are usually lying, lean left, and are among the least informed and active in politics out there.
 
Right and Wrong don’t have a party affiliation. Nor are they connected to a particular gender, race or social class.

If doing something RIGHT negatively affects a group of people, that’s unfortunate but doesn’t make it any less RIGHT. Just as doing something WRONG doesn’t get any better just because it benefits someone.
 
I don't know if you people have been paying attention but rural health facilities have been on medical system corporation's chopping blocks (once they buy them) for years.

It has shit all to do with the .gov and everything to do with Medical Systems cutting their losses.

We have a hospital setting mostly empty in my AO after Valley Heath bought it. They also sold the old folks care center that was next to it. At least it's still up and running.

Rural hospitals and health care systems have been in a slow-burning crisis for decades. Since 2010, over 130 rural hospitals have closed. -NIH

Quite a few have already closed since the 1st of the year with many more to come and some are larger ones in bigger cities. Use Becker's hospital or payer website to see all closing and the ones to come. You might have to sign up but it does not cost.
 
Some will become stand alone emergency rooms that stabilize patients for transport to whichever network buys them is my guess. Some may become birthing hospitals as well. Time will tell.

Hell you can't even be born in my town now, just transported to the main campus of Valley Health to be born.

Won't die here either if they can put you in a ambulance and tote you to the ICU there.....$1600.00 for a 20 mile ride BTW.

Oh and Valley Health threatened to sue the local VFD if they did anymore non-emergency transports....Our VFD did it for donations.

People can blame the .gov all they want but it's the Medical Systems that are really ******* us.
 
The states will increase income taxes to cover the cost.

The states without income tax will have to figure other ways.
